Fury of the Warhawk

September 2007

This is a traditional oil painting of a P40 Flying Tiger. It is 4foot by 5foot gallery wrapped canvas. Very large. I worked on it of and on for about two months. I did it for my sons room and it came out so good I am going to have Giclee prints made of it. I was also highly inspired by Glen Angus's pieces and I used one of his airplane pinup girls backgrounds as reference for my background on this piece. I changed the colors of the P40 just to make it more interesting and to match more of the warm tones. This was really my first Oil painting. I have played around with oils in the past but never really did full blown painting. If you would like to see the process go here
